  • Conference Day 1: Forensics Institute with the University of Central Oklahoma

    Celebration of Science Education dinner event held at Science Museum Oklahoma. We'll celebration Oklahoma science education and OSTA's award winners with a sit down dinner, cash bar, and exploration of parts of the museum! This is an ADULT ONLY event.

    Conference Day 2: Join us as we welcome Page Keeley to OSTA's State Conference! This workshop will include a 90 minutes session on uncovering student ideas and practices, followed by a book signing! *Book not included*

    Day 2 also includes hands-on workshops, sessions, exhibitors, vendors, key-note speaker, lunch, and so much more!

Join the Oklahoma Science Teachers Association, and teachers from around the State for a 3D Science Learning experience you won't forget! This year our State Conference is bigger than ever with TWO days of learning, including a featured workshop with THE Page Keeley, an evening dinner Celebration of Science Education at Science Museum Oklahoma, and an hands-on Forensics Science workshop by the Forensics Institute at the University of Central Oklahoma!

Conference Day 1 - June 1st, 1-4pm

Due to the OK Teacher Walkout we have shifted Page Keeley's featured workshop to Conference Day 2 (Saturday, June 2nd)! In it's place for Day 1 the Forensics Institute at the University of Central Oklahoma will facilitate their teacher workshop! Join us for a hands-on experience while we learn how forensic sciences can be incorporated into your classroom!

Celebration of Science Education - June 1st, 7pm

This is the dinner event you won't want to miss! Join us at Science Museum Oklahoma for an adult only evening of awards, dinner, cash bar, and exploration! OSTA will recognize our State Teachers of the year in Elementary School, Middle School, High School, and College. We'll sit down for a nice dinner followed by time to explore different parts of the museum, including CurioCity! 

 Celebration of Science Education is included in the two-day conference pricing!!  

Conference Day 2 - June 2nd, 8:30 Registration, 9am-4:30pm

Day 2 will be a day filled with hands-on workshops, presentations, exhibitors, vendors, networking, and so much more! This year our theme is 3D Science and we can't wait for you to join us!

Due to the OK Teacher Walkout we have shifted Page Keeley's featured workshop, Uncovering Student Ideas and Practices, to Day 2 so that teacher's won't miss out on this opportunity! Page Keeley is the Senior Science Program Director at the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance, where she directs projects in the areas of leadership, standards-based curriculum, formative assessment, professional development design, and instructional coaching. She has directed several major National Science Foundation-funded projects and has authored nine books and several chapters and journal articles. Her books include Uncovering Student Ideas in Science Volumes 1-4, and Science Formative Assessment-75 Practical Strategies for Linking Assessment, Instructions, and Learning.
